CADA reminds you to

CADA continues to remind everyone to practise responsible alcohol behavior, which means if you are going to consume alcohol always put a plan in place to get home safely.

Always use
Bus
Cab or
Designated driver

Bermuda has an excellent public transportation system that services most parts of the island until midnight. If you are going home before midnight we highly recommend public transportation to get you there safely.

We also encourage you to put the phone numbers of cab drivers into your cell phone and when you are ready to go home call them. Or, before you go out, arrange for a cab driver to collect you from an agreed place at an agreed time.

CADA also offers a free late night cab service called, “Let Us Drive”, which leaves from outside the L.O.M. Building on Reid Street between 3:15am and 3:45 am every Friday night. Please note: this service will also be in operation on New Year’s Eve, Thursday 31st December 2009. This service is generously sponsored by Lead Sponsor Bacardi Limited and supporting sponsors, Burrows Lightbourn, Goslings and Fairmont Group.

The third option is to identify a designated driver before you go out. Take turns each time you go out, being the designated driver.

Doing any one of these things is practising responsible alcohol behavior, always put a plan in place to get home safely and to ensure no one drinks and drives.
